View botting is a long-standing concern within the realm of live streaming. Some individuals resort to this tactic to inflate their viewer counts, hoping it will go unnoticed. Unfortunately, reality often tells a different story.
If caught in the act of unauthorized view botting, those inflated numbers are stripped away, and there’s also a high chance that the channel could face bans. After all, this practice violates Twitch’s policies.
Recently, viewers were taken aback when streamer QueengloriaRP was seen blatantly engaging in view botting during her stream. She faced a ban shortly thereafter, prompting many content creators to voice their opinions.
Now turning his attention toward Kai Cenat’s circle, xQc — who currently divides his streaming time between Twitch and KICK — has alleged that friends Rakai and Reggie are involved in such practices.
“Some of Kai’s friends though, if I speak,” he remarked during his April 9 broadcast. “Yesterday, I didn’t even know about this guy (Reggie) and now he’s the GOAT! 1k yesterday, then 800 (viewers), then 8k, and then suddenly 60k—that’s what being the absolute GOAT means!”
Some viewers suggested that these spikes in viewer count could have been attributed to raids from Kai himself. However, xQc countered with concern regarding chat activity rates: “With some of these numbers showing only 20% chat engagement—now that’s just diabolical.” He remained adamant about his stance on the matter.
Doubled down on his claims soon after making them public; “They’re all viewbotters,” xQc stated decisively. “I don’t give a f*ck saying that.” He continued with further assertions like “From being a 1K Andy to hitting 20K overnight? I’ve been around long enough; I’m not naïve; they’re botted out!” He even hinted at an agency involvement behind these actions.
XQC clarified that he wasn’t targeting Kai directly but simply discussing something he found outrageous: “None of this is directed at Kai,” he emphasized during his stream. “I’ve got nothing against him whatsoever; I’m just pointing out what seems odd.” He expressed caution about naming specific individuals without evidence for accusations.
This situation raises very important concerns since any proven instances of viewbotting could lead to severe consequences under Twitch regulations for those involved channels.
