Just because the Battlefield 6 beta ended doesn’t mean Xbox players are out of options this week. From August 18 to 25, a solid batch of new games is coming to the platform, highlighted by Black Myth: Wukong, one of 2024’s most talked-about Soulslikes. While the big guns are few, there’s enough variety to keep you busy.
High hopes for Black Myth: Wukong have been building since last year, and Xbox owners will finally get their shot at it. Alongside it, Discounty offers a cozy experience that pulls you into its addictive loop, perfect for zoning out from the daily grind.
Gamescom is happening August 20 through 24, which might explain why Xbox’s lineup isn’t overflowing with huge releases. Still, expect some surprises from Microsoft and Team Cherry, especially since Hollow Knight: Silksong will be playable there. Plus, the show will reveal more about the upcoming World of Warcraft expansion, Midnight, and give a peek at Ninja Gaiden 4. Whether Xbox’s presentation will impress or underwhelm stays to be seen, but keeping expectations modest is wise.
