Xbox will not publish an “Xbox Wrapped” recap for 2025. Sources say the marketing budget that might have paid for a wrapped-style presentation has been reassigned to celebrate multiple milestones and support next year’s events.
The report (via Windows Central) says Microsoft redirected funds toward celebrating Xbox’s 25th anniversary and other milestone moments, including Bethesda’s 40th year. Those efforts are expected to be focused around the company’s upcoming events and promos rather than a year-end consumer recap.
For context, other gaming platforms, including PlayStation, Steam, Discord, and Nintendo, ran their own year-in-review pieces this season, but Microsoft quietly opted out this time around. The decision is framed less as a cancellation and more as a budget choice to prioritize 2026 anniversary activity and related marketing.
If you were saving your Xbox stats for a wrap-style brag post, you’ll need to keep them locally or use third-party tools. The move mostly affects casual recaps and social sharing rather than core services like Game Pass or the store.
