Xbox is will continue its cross-platform approach by releasing two unannounced games in 2026, according to a LinkedIn profile update from a senior producer at Xbox Game Studios. This move fits with Microsoft’s recent strategy of making more Xbox titles available beyond just Xbox consoles.

Xbox has been quietly shifting towards a multi-platform strategy for some time. Titles like Forza Horizon 5 have already appeared on PlayStation 5, and more games are expected to follow. The news about these two upcoming cross-platform games was spotted by TheGamer through the LinkedIn profile of iAsia Brown, a Senior Game Producer at Xbox Game Studios. Brown mentioned leading development pipelines for two unannounced cross-platform titles scheduled for 2026, but no other specifics were shared.

It’s a bit of a mystery which games Xbox is preparing. Speculation has been swirling around popular franchises such as State of Decay 3 and Gears of War E-Day, with rumors suggesting they may also be coming to PlayStation 5. However, neither Microsoft nor Sony has confirmed those reports yet. So, we’re left wondering: will these two unannounced titles be part of those franchises, or something entirely new?

Interestingly, Sony is reportedly interested in expanding PlayStation games beyond its own hardware, possibly even to Xbox platforms. This back-and-forth suggests a future where platform exclusivity might soften, giving players more freedom to enjoy games regardless of their console choice.

Microsoft has also recently reduced prices on games like Outer Worlds 2, which may indicate a broader effort to attract players across different platforms.
