Xbox is rolling out Free Play Days from October 2 to October 5, and there’s a tasty mix of multiplayer chaos, story adventures, and strategy to try for free. These short trials let you test-drive games on Xbox and PC Game Pass plans, grab rewards, and even pick up limited-time discounts if you fall in love.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
You can jump into Early Access for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 starting October 2 if you pre-ordered or have select Game Pass plans. If you want to participate in the public beta, Open Beta access will be available to all players from October 5 to October 8, ahead of the full launch on November 14.
The beta promises new 6v6 multiplayer maps, near-future 2035 weaponry with some Black Ops 2 vibes, an Overclock system that upgrades streaks and gear the more you use them, and expanded omnimovement like wall jumps. Playing the beta also nets in-game rewards such as an Operator skin and weapon blueprint.
Polterguys: Possession Party
Polterguys: Possession Party is unlocked for all Xbox members from October 2 to October 5. This is 8-player spooky mayhem where you possess objects, sabotage opponents, and try not to get eaten by a raging monster. It’s goofy, chaotic, and totally built for friends.
Dustborn
Dustborn is available to try for all Xbox members from October 2 to October 5 with a 2-hour timed trial. It’s a single-player, story-driven action-adventure about Pax, an exile who weaponizes language on a road trip from Pacifica to Nova Scotia. If narrative and style matter to you, this one’s worth a look.
Ready or Not
Ready or Not is unlocked for all Xbox members from October 2 to October 5 with a 3-hour timed trial. Lead a SWAT team through tense, tactical missions using realistic gear and weapons. If you like high-stakes planning and tight execution, this trial will show you whether you’ve got the nerve.
Sudden Strike 4 – European Battlefields Edition (Game Pass required)
Sudden Strike 4 – European Battlefields Edition is free to play for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and Essential members from October 2 to October 5. Command British, American, German, or Soviet forces across three campaigns and more than 20 missions, including historical battles like Dunkirk and the Vyborg Offensive. The game is also on sale for 60% off from October 2 to October 13.
