Roadmap beyond Season 1
During the State of Azeroth stream Blizzard outlined a broader plan for Midnight through the year and beyond BlizzCon. Here are the concrete items and timing shared for upcoming content.
Spring: Blizzard plans Void Assaults (noted as possibly similar to Legion’s Assaults) and a Prop Hunt mode. Those Void Assaults will escalate into further activity that includes a new raid, additional story quests, and the return of the Turbulent Timeways event.
Summer (patch 12.1): Patch 12.1 will add a new zone, another new raid, a new dungeon, additional Delves, more world bosses, plus Housing UI and social updates. Patch 12.1 also marks the start of Season 2.
After BlizzCon: Patch 12.1.5 will introduce another new raid and a new system called the Labyrinth, along with additional content and system updates. Patch 12.1.7 is planned to add extra story quests, holiday updates, a new standalone mode, and another Turbulent Timeways event. The timeline above is the roadmap detail Blizzard shared publicly, and more specifics and dates are expected as the year progresses and as plans firm up around BlizzCon.
