World of Warcraft fans in China will receive a fresh take on Classic with the upcoming Titan Reforged megaserver, set to launch this November. This new realm will combine Vanilla, The Burning Crusade, and Wrath of the Lich King into one continuous experience, offering a revamped endgame that’s pretty different from anything we’ve seen before.
Unlike the Season of Discovery, which shook things up significantly, Titan Reforged maintains a more straightforward approach while still being ambitious. All raids from these three expansions will be upgraded to level 80, making the endgame way bigger and more challenging. Interestingly, the raid progression will be shuffled, so expect some surprises, Molten Core might actually be one of the toughest raids now! Also, all raids will have the same player count, likely 40-man groups, which is a cool way to unify the experience.
Gear from these raids won’t be left behind either. All legendary items will get upgraded, meaning classics like Thunderfury and Warglaives will stay relevant even against Wrath bosses like the Lich King. The item tuning seems inspired by Season of Discovery’s approach, but without the extra features like runes.
The new realm, named Time, will launch to celebrate WoW China’s 20th anniversary in November. Chinese servers have often been a testing ground for features that later appear worldwide, so there’s a chance this could come to other regions eventually. It’s no secret that Chinese players are huge fans of Wrath of the Lich King, so this fresh take running alongside existing WotLK Classic servers fits perfectly.
