Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition just got a nice boost with a free update that adds three classic Worms games for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 players. This update brings some nostalgia and variety to the already packed package, which fans of the series will appreciate.
Last year, Digital Eclipse announced that Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition would get an update featuring additional Worms games. Now, that update is available to download and includes:
- Worms (SNES)
- Worms (Mega Drive/Genesis)
- Worms World Party (Game Boy Advance)
Along with these additions, there’s a cheat code called Boggy B that unlocks all content in each game. You can toggle this cheat on or off in the settings, which is a nice touch for players who want to go into into everything without grinding.
“Experience the 32-Bit Worms World Party, two 16-Bit Worms Classics and a bonus Boggy B secret cheat code to bring you EVERYTHING in one place on your consoles. So, arm your holy hand-grenades, ready your sheep and try not to fall in the water in this retro-stravaganza of invertebrate mayhem.”
Before this update, the Anniversary Edition already included the fan-favorite Worms Armageddon itself, updated for current displays, plus the Game Boy Color version as a bonus. There’s also a documentary-style timeline packed with interviews and behind-the-scenes stories, which adds extra charm.
We thought the Anniversary Edition was a strong release when we reviewed it recently, and this update makes it even more appealing. Who wouldn’t want to have all these classic Worms experiences in one place? I wonder if Digital Eclipse might add even more games in the future…
