World of Warcraft just saw another wave of class changes hit the 11.2 PTR, adding to the tweaks that went live only days ago. These latest hotfixes bring a fresh round of nerfs and buffs across a few key specs, shaking up the balance once again.

Wondering if your main got hit twice this week? It’s possible. Blizzard has targeted Mistweaver Monk and Discipline Priest for nerfs, while handing some love to Holy Paladin and Elemental Shaman. The fine print matters here, especially with healing adjustments and mana costs being altered, so it’s worth a closer look.

What Got Nerfed?

Mistweaver Monks will see a 5% reduction in all healing done, though PvP remains unaffected. Discipline Priests face several changes: the absorption boost from Weal and Woe now increases Power Word: Shield absorption by 3% per stack instead of 5%, and Oracle: Preventive Measures reduces absorption by 30% instead of 40%. Mana costs for Power Word: Radiance are up by 10%, but Renew costs drop by 30%. On the damage side, Voidweaver: Entropic Rift damage is up by 30%, which might soften the blow a bit.

Who Got Buffed?

Holy Paladins are in for a nice boost with healing from Holy Shock, Holy Prism, Word of Glory, and Light of Dawn all increased by 12%, though PvP is exempt. also, Beacon of Virtue now extends to 40 yards, up from 30. Elemental Shamans see a stronger Maelstrom Supremacy, which now boosts the damage of key spells like Earth Shock and Earthquake by 25% instead of 15%. Plus, Farseer: Elemental Reverb enhances Lava Burst damage by 20%, a massive jump from the previous 5%.

Other Notable Fixes

There’s also a fix for Paladins where the Lightsmith talent’s Hammer and Anvil effect now properly activates with Judgment.

Wow, Blizzard sure isn’t done tinkering with class balance yet. Are these changes going to finally push Holy Paladins and Elemental Shamans into a better spot? Or will Mistweaver Monks and Discipline Priests feel the sting too much? I’m curious to hear your thoughts on these shifts.
