Blizzard’s Midnight expansion will add a simple visual cue for party buffs. Party buff spells on action bars will glow when any member of your group is missing that specific buff. The change targets the kind of anxious moments that happen in raids. If someone forgets a cast of Power Word: Fortitude or another group buff, the spell icon will visibly indicate that a cast is needed before the pull starts. TaliesinEvitel posted that “In Midnight, party buff spells you have on your bars will glow if there are members of your group without the buff” and included a screenshot showing the effect.

This is one of several quality of life and accessibility changes Blizzard is introducing in Midnight. The developer is adding more built-in features that previously required third-party combat addons and has been adjusting the new and returning player experience and quest accessibility ahead of the expansion. The glow is a small fix but it targets a common annoyance for raiders and groups who want fewer avoidable deaths at pull start. The change will be available in Midnight when the expansion goes live.
