Blizzard seems to have accidentally revealed their pre-order bonuses for the upcoming World of Warcraft: Midnight expansion by sneaking them into the game early. Players have already spotted two new mounts and pets in the Warband collections tab, each themed around Light and Void. These bonuses add some flair to the usual pre-order perks and hint at the kind of aesthetics the expansion might lean into.
Let’s start with the mounts. The Lightwing Dragonhawk looks like a majestic dragonhawk bathed in radiant light, while its counterpart, the Voidwing Dragonhawk, sports a darker, shadowy appearance that fits the Void theme perfectly. Both share the same base model but deliver very different vibes.
Pets come in matching Light and Void flavors as well. The Hopeflutter and Doomfeathers pets are smaller versions that share the dragonhawk style but with names that carry some weight. Guess Blizzard wanted these little companions to feel more meaningful than just cute fluff.
Pre-order pricing and details haven’t officially gone live yet, but the leaked in-game info gives a pretty clear picture of what’s coming. The base edition of Midnight will cost $49.99 and includes the expansion, a level 80 character boost with some extra goodies, 500 Trader’s Tender currency, and early access to housing features.
Upgrading to higher editions won’t give you duplicate in-game items or currency if you already claimed them, capped at 2,000 Trader’s Tender for the Epic edition.

Honestly, Blizzard is going all out with the cosmetic and housing options here. That Voidlight Surger mount? It’s a nice surprise on top of the Lightwing and Voidwing mounts. Who doesn’t want to ride around on something that looks like it’s ripped straight from a cosmic horror flick?
Curious what you think of these bonuses? Do you dig the Light and Void themes, or do they feel a bit overdone? I’m kinda torn. The mounts look cool, but the whole Light versus Void thing has been a staple in WoW for ages. Maybe that’s what they were going for, though, something familiar but fresh enough to catch attention.
Either way, pre-orders will be opening soon, and it looks like the Midnight expansion will come with some solid incentives to get players locked in early. If you want to see all the images and details yourself, check out the source below.
