If you’re into World of Tanks and curious about cloud gaming, the latest Boosteroid subscription update might catch your eye. It promises smooth gameplay without needing a beefy rig, plus some neat monthly rewards like the ASTRON Rex 105 mm tank. Here’s the lowdown on how it all works and what to expect.
Boosteroid is a cloud gaming platform that lets you play World of Tanks with up to 120 FPS streaming and 4K resolution through your browser or app. That means you don’t have to fuss over hardware upgrades to jump into tank battles. Pretty cool, right?
Subscriptions start on the day you sign up and last a whole month. Your monthly rewards, called Monthly Boosts, get credited on your purchase or renewal date, not the 1st of the month like you might expect. So, if you join on June 10, your June Boost arrives that day and lasts until July 10.
One thing to watch out for: if your subscription renews automatically, it keeps renewing at the original price. You won’t get any new discounts unless you cancel and resubscribe manually. Yikes, that caught me off guard!
Subscribers get the ASTRON Rex 105 mm tank for the duration of their plan. This tank stays in your Garage but shows as “Rental period ended” if your subscription lapses. If you reactivate, the tank comes back with all your saved modifications—unless you removed it completely, in which case you’ll have to repurchase some upgrades.
For six-month subscribers, there’s a choice of one vehicle from three unique Depot options, or a 6,000-credit package if you own them all. The June to October 2025 offer is live, with new cars dropping in November. To see the offer, log out and back in or play a battle to refresh your Garage.
Switching your linked WoT account mid-subscription won’t immediately transfer your current Monthly Boost or tank. The new account will get those benefits next month. Also, you can only link one WoT account per Boosteroid account, so keep that in mind if you have multiple profiles.
Wondering what happens if you don’t renew? You lose access to the monthly bonuses, and the subscription tank gets blocked until you return. However, if you had a regular Boosteroid subscription before the joint plan, your leftover days get frozen andwill reactivate if you quit the joint subscription.
So, what do you think about this Boosteroid and World of Tanks combo? Is cloud gaming the future of tank battles for you, or do you prefer your setup? Let me know in the comments below — I’m curious!
