Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty’s PC Port Bombarded with Negative Reviews on Steam

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, the latest Soulslike game from Nioh developer Team Ninja, has received positive reviews for its challenging combat system and evocative setting. However, the PC port of the game is receiving negative reviews on Steam for its performance issues and controls.

As of the time of writing, the PC version of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty has received more than 3,000 user reviews on Steam, which skew “mostly negative” according to the game’s Steam listing. While many players acknowledge the quality of the game’s content and gameplay, they criticize the PC port’s performance and mouse-and-keyboard controls.

Many Steam user reviews report lag, stutters, crashes, and frame rate dips, while others criticize the game’s controls when using a mouse and keyboard instead of a gamepad. Some reviews state it as the biggest catastrophe of a PC port ever released. Others said that it shares the same level of optimization as Wild Hearts, which had a very poor performance.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty‘s PC issues are the latest example in a growing trend of high-profile games that don’t perform well on PC. Recent games like Wild Hearts (also a Koei Tecmo production) and The Callisto Protocol have also launched to mixed or negative reviews from players for their performance.

If you’re considering playing Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty on PC, waiting for a forthcoming update from developer Team Ninja before purchasing the game may be a good idea. Additionally, it may be worth researching the performance issues further and reading reviews from other players to get an idea of the game’s current state.
