Where Winds Meet, the open-world RPG from Everstone Studios and NetEase, will hold its final beta test this July on PS5 and PC. Sign-ups are now open for players eager to try the game ahead of its full release later this year.

The beta will run from July 24th to 31st and will introduce a new region called Kaifeng, which hasn’t appeared in earlier tests. This should provide participants with fresh areas to explore and new gameplay experiences to discover.

For those who missed the initial reveal, Where Winds Meet is set during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms Period of Chinese history. Players take on the role of a young sword master, uncovering mysteries about their identity while navigating a turbulent era full of adventure and choices. The game aims to blend historical context with personal storytelling, creating a rich world to wander through.

The fact that this is marketed as the “Final Test” suggests Everstone Studios is on track to meet their release plans. It’s always interesting to see how a game evolves through its beta phases, and this last one might be the closest look we get before launch. Have you tried any of the previous betas? Will you jump into this last one? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.

Check out the new trailer to get a sense of what’s coming:
