July’s PS Plus Essential games are here, and they bring a mix of genres that might keep you busy indoors despite the summer sun. The lineup features Diablo 4, King of Fighters 15, and Jusant, offering something for RPG fans, fighting players, and those who enjoy distinct traversal challenges.

Diablo 4 takes center stage as the headline title. Blizzard’s action RPG generated a lot of discussion before its release two years ago. While reviews were generally positive and many players jumped in early, the game has had a rough time with inconsistent updates and some awkward microtransactions. If you’re not eager to be a hardcore player, though, the campaign still offers solid entertainment through PS Plus, and it might be worth your time.

On the fighting game front, King of Fighters 15 is the pick. SNK’s series may not have the massive name recognition of Street Fighter or Tekken, but it’s known for its technical depth. This installment holds up well and could be a great choice if you have a friend ready for some one-on-one battles.

Lastly, Jusant offers a quirky experience focused on climbing enormous structures. With Death Stranding 2 also exploring unusual travel mechanics, some might see Jusant as a bit of an odd fit right now. Still, if you like games that challenge your traversal skills in different ways, it could be a fun addition.

What’s your take on this month’s PS Plus Essential selection? Are you excited, indifferent, or maybe a little disappointed? Cast your vote in the poll and share your thoughts in the comments below.
