Vermintide 2 is free to keep on Steam until November 24, the developer announced on the game’s Steam announcements page, letting anyone with a Steam account add the game to their library at no cost and keep it forever.
The offer is part of the ongoing 10 Years of Tide celebrations. Players who add Warhammer: Vermintide 2 to their Steam account before November 24 will own the base game permanently and can jump straight into the expanded content the studio has added since 2018.
The game has grown considerably since launch, with multiple free DLC drops, quality-of-life updates, and new modes such as Chaos Wastes and Versus. The latest content pack, Return to the Reik, arrived yesterday and reimagines a fan favorite map from the first game. Read the update notes on the Steam store for the new release.
Add Vermintide 2 on Steam and the game will be yours to keep while the promotion runs.
Limited time extras
The studio also temporarily re-enabled the Fangtastic Fortitude portrait frame infection. From now until November 30, winning a match where a teammate wears that frame will “infect” your account and add the portrait to your collection. The infection image is currently active in-game.

On top of that, Double XP is running through November 30, which is handy if new players want to catch up on heroes and unlocks while the base game is free to keep.
This Steam giveaway is the latest of several recent free-to-keep offers across PC storefronts, following other limited windows that let players add titles to their libraries at no cost, a trend the site has been tracking in past coverage about free PC offers.
