Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is finally preparing for a release on PS5 on 21st October 2025, after a long and winding development saga filled with delays. Fans can check out the latest trailer above to get a taste of what’s coming.
Despite the trailer encouraging pre-orders, the game isn’t yet listed on the PlayStation Store. So, if you want to lock it in early, patience might be the name of the game for now.
Set in a current-day Seattle on the edge of chaos, players will take on the role of an elder vampire caught in a power struggle. The city faces a three-front siege, a power vacuum within the vampire court, and an awakened elder battling internal voices. The game is being developed by BAFTA-winning studio The Chinese Room, known for crafting narrative-driven experiences.
Can this game finally break free from its troubled past? Fans remain skeptical, and honestly, who could blame them? The original Bloodlines earned cult status thanks to its distinct world and storytelling, but it was also famously rough around the edges. Maybe mods will come to the rescue again, as one commenter pointed out.
One user summed it up best: “I have zero hope. I wish I had hope, I really do. The only hope is that mods fix the game like they did for the first game.” Harsh, but fair.
For those interested, the game will be an action RPG for one player, published by Paradox Interactive. The release will be simultaneous in North America and Europe on PS5.
Will this October launch finally stick? Guess we’ll have to wait and see if The Chinese Room and Paradox can deliver a vampire experience worthy of the name. Yikes, fingers crossed.
