Valve has rolled out the red carpet for its latest upgrade to the handheld gaming world with the introduction of the Steam Deck OLED model. This new device aims to solidify Valve’s commitment to providing gamers with a top-tier portable gaming experience.

The Steam Deck OLED will replace the 64GB and 512GB LCD variants, reshaping the product line with more focused options. Gamers now have the choice between the enduring 256GB LCD model and two OLED offerings with beefier storage capacities:

  • 256GB LCD – Priced at $399 / €419 / £349
  • 512GB OLED – Priced at $549 / €569 / £479
  • 1TB OLED – Priced at $649 / €679 / £569

Each model presents a solid deal for the features packed inside.

Introducing Steam Deck OLED. Featuring an HDR OLED screen, longer battery life, and faster downloads. Available November 16th.

The new Steam Deck OLED boasts a 7.4-inch display, providing just a bit more screen real estate than the 7-inch screen on the original. This increase might seem small, but it can make a significant difference in the visibility of in-game details and the overall immersion.

Connectivity takes a leap forward with Wi-Fi 6E, promising faster and more reliable wireless performance. Coupled with a more substantial 50Whr battery, up from the 40Whr in prior models, the OLED variant is set to offer longer play sessions away from the power socket.

Gamers who enjoy longer playtimes will appreciate the updated thermal design, which is engineered to keep the device cooler during intense gaming sessions. And at 30 grams lighter, the new model also becomes a bit more comfortable to hold for extended periods.

The excitement begins on November 16, when orders open at 10 am PT / 1 pm ET / 5 pm GMT. While the new OLED models are not yet available for purchase, players are marking their calendars for the chance to secure their upgraded gaming companion.
