VALORANT will have Split and Pearl return to the competitive map pool, Riot Games confirmed for patch 11.08, which goes live on October 14th. The update removes Ascent and Lotus from the competitive rotation to make room for Split and Pearl. Riot confirmed the rotation will arrive during Act 6, and it will not alter the VCT circuit. Instead, the change will apply to the VALORANT Game Changers Championship 2025.
Check out the updated VALORANT map pool below:

- Abyss
- Bind
- Corrode
- Haven
- Sunset
- Pearl
- Split
Casual players who still want Ascent and Lotus can play them in other modes such as Swiftplay and Spike Rush.
The announcement reopened debate about Breeze, which was rotated out in patch 8.11 over a year ago and has not returned. “BREEZE IS STILL NOT BACK, ARE YOU KIDDING ME,” said G2 Gozen’s IGL, Michaela ‘mimi’ Lintrup. Breeze is G2 Gozen’s strongest map, with a win rate of over 80%, and its inclusion would have helped the team in Game Changers Championship.
“Breeze is dead bro they burned the hard drive that it was on,” RRQ’s assistant coach, Evan ‘Warbirds’ Olzem, expressed his frustration. The community and pro teams continue to ask why Breeze remains absent. At the moment there is no confirmed timeline for Breeze to come back into the competitive pool.
