Today, Ubisoft published a roadmap for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 that runs through 2026 and lists several major updates, new modes, and a paid DLC.
The year starts in April with a free season called Rise Up. That season is billed as a tougher challenge focused on the Black Tusk faction. Ubisoft also said PvP-focused balance updates are coming in the next few weeks to improve Dark Zone and multiplayer combat.
One of the biggest changes confirmed is the arrival of crossplay, which will remove platform barriers that have separated players for more than six years. The roadmap also brings back Classified Assignments and adds a new Incursion. That Incursion is named Steel Creek and is described as a hydroelectric dam under siege, built to be one of the tougher endgame activities.
Survivors is returning as well. Ubisoft frames Survivors as a fresh extraction experience that drops agents into a blizzard-struck Washington DC where the weather is as dangerous as the enemies. For additional background, a prior preview covering Survivors and its planned 2026 arrival is available in our Survivors preview.
The roadmap closes with a teased DLC set in Central Park in New York City. Central Park was not enterable in the first Division game and is described in the series lore as a “mass grave” that holds the bodies of millions who died during the outbreaks. The reveal notes have prompted speculation that this DLC may be one of the darkest chapters in the franchise’s ten-year story.
