The launch of Assassin’s Creed Shadows has sparked a wave of enthusiasm among fans, prompting the development team at Ubisoft to share a heartfelt message. In their recent post on Reddit, they expressed gratitude for the community’s support and excitement during the game’s debut weekend.

“We just want to say thank you. The sheer love and positivity we’ve received has been incredibly heartwarming,” stated Ubisoft. “Seeing your excitement, thoughtful reactions, and joy has meant the world to us. After years of hard work, there’s nothing more rewarding than watching the community connect with what we’ve created.”

The studio also acknowledged that while they may be unable to respond to every message, they are attentively reading all fan feedback. “The entire development team has been reading your posts, the celebrations, the feedback, the theories—and it’s been motivating. It fuels us. And it helps us keep improving,” they said. “Thank you for being part of this journey with us. This is just the beginning for Shadows, and we’re excited to see the game evolve with you by our side.”

A standout response from a long-time fan reflected this sentiment: an older player shared how much she enjoys gaming and praised Shadows as brilliant, her comment resonated with many who have followed Assassin’s Creed throughout its history.

Shadows achieved impressive milestones right out of the gate, reaching 2 million players within its first weekend. Reports indicate it recorded one of the highest first-day sales revenues in franchise history, second only to 2020’s Valhalla.
