Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is a Soulslike game that throws some brutal boss fights at you. While some bosses go down quickly, others will have you tearing your hair out. Here’s a list of the ten toughest bosses in the game that won’t let you win with cheesy spells or cheap tricks.
1. Eternal Glory – Zhao Yun
Non-Stop Attacking
It’s unusual for an NPC fight to be the hardest, but Eternal Glory claims that spot. He never lets up, forcing you to time attacks and manage stamina carefully. Plus, he summons multiple specters, making it tough to tell where the real strikes come from. When you finally beat him, expect to sigh with relief. A strong magic build might give you an edge here.
2. Commander Honglan
The OG Annoyance
The first Honglan fight is a real test of your parry skills. You’ll need perfect timing to avoid insane damage. The second phase throws random attacks with no pattern, forcing you to guess constantly. This was the boss I spent the most time on during my first run.
3. Demon of Obsession
I Am Not Obsessed
You’ll face your Inner Demon and the Nightmare Demon, but the Demon of Obsession is another beast entirely. The fight starts manageable but turns chaotic once her health drops below two-thirds. She constantly casts every spell in the game with no clear pattern, making it a brutal guessing game. I won’t lie, I cheesed her on my first try.
4. Vermillion Feathers – Honglan
Honglan 2.0
If you fought Commander Honglan before, prepare for her second boss fight. She turns into a one-winged angel-like Sephiroth, throwing unpredictable attacks, blood slashes across the arena, and a spell with crazy tracking. Thankfully, this one isn’t two-phase, or I might have quit.
5. Bo Sorcerer
Feathered Fiend
The Bo Sorcerer is where frustration kicks in. She’s fast, hits hard, and summons bubbles with a massive area of effect. You can summon the White-Robed Elder for help, but he’s fragile and can die quickly if you don’t manage aggro well. Using the large tree in the arena to break her tracking might help, but it’s hardly a safe haven.
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is out on July 24, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. If you’re up for a challenge, these bosses will test your patience and skill in all the right ways. Got a favorite tough boss or a strategy that helped you? Speak for yourself in the comments below!
