The Division 2’s Summer Event is live from June 24 to July 8, bringing fresh challenges and cool rewards for agents eager to jump back into the action. This event features a 7-part Project Chain with daily unlocks, letting you earn exclusive cosmetics, weapon skins, and a distinct named weapon by completing all tasks.

Here’s the deal: each day a new project opens up, but if life gets busy and you miss some days, no sweat, all projects stick around until the event ends, so catching up is totally doable.

Summer Project Chain

The event tasks you with completing 7 linked projects. Knock them out one by one to unlock the next challenge. It’s a neat way to keep things interesting over the two-week period.

Rewards Galore

Each finished project hands you some sweet loot, including:

  • Named Cache
  • Recalibration Cache
  • Optimization Cache
  • Exotic Components
  • The Summer ’25 Outfit (hat, gloves, and uniform)
  • Two arm patches: Palm Tree Patch and Fun in the Sun Patch
  • Two universal weapon skins: Reef and Summer Vice
  • Old Glory VFX for the Turret and Hive skills

And here’s the twist: complete all 7 projects and you unlock the Slingshot, a named Tactical UMP-45 with better mid-range performance thanks to boosted best range. Plus, it comes with an open talent slot so you can customize it with any weapon talent that suits your style. Pretty neat, right?

The Hoarder Update

The Hoarder enemy has been tweaked to drop multiple Event Items depending on difficulty:

  • Hard and below: 2 Event Items
  • Challenging: 3 Event Items
  • Heroic and above: 4 Event Items

Jump in, agents! This event offers a nice mix of challenges and rewards to spice up your gameplay for a couple of weeks. I’m curious—will you be going for the Slingshot or just collecting all the cosmetics? Let me know what you think in the comments below!
