NCSoft’s forthcoming free-to-play MMORPG, Throne and Liberty, is gearing up for a big reveal during this week’s Summer Game Fest 2023. The developer announced that it would present more of this highly-anticipated game on June 8th, setting pulses racing in the gaming community.
Throne and Liberty remain a mystery, with its details shrouded in secrecy. The only previous glimpse players had was during a closed beta in South Korea. We know that the game is a free-to-play MMORPG and is slated for a multi-platform release, bringing joy to many players. However, queries about cross-platform multiplayer and progression capabilities remain unanswered.
This game represents a significant collaboration between NCSoft and Amazon Games, the latter serving as the game’s publisher. Amazon Games has a track record of backing successful MMORPGs, expanding its portfolio beyond its in-house title, New World. One of its notable successes includes publishing Lost Ark in the West, which attracted a significant player base upon its launch.
In addition to Throne and Liberty, NCSoft has focused on another ambitious project codenamed “Project LLL.” This title promises to be an open-world third-person multiplayer shooter and is projected to land on PC and console platforms.
