Throne and Liberty rolls out Morph Madness bracket where players decide which morph gets a new skin

Throne and Liberty opened Morph Madness, a community-driven elimination bracket that runs in three rounds from March 9 through March 30, with the event winner and community highlights announced on March 31. The game announced the event in a Steam post.

Morph Madness will pit more than 70 morphs across Dash, Glide, Swim, and Special categories against each other in elimination matchups. The winning morph will receive a new skin, and the developer will showcase favorite community shares when the champion is revealed on March 31.

How support works

Support for a morph is earned both inside and outside the game. In-game actions that count toward a morph’s support include equipping the morph while playing and finishing Starbloom Festival races as that morph. Outside the game, players can influence matchups by voting in community polls on X and Instagram, posting screenshots on social channels, and sharing fanart on Discord.

The announcement notes that every act of loyalty during a single round contributes to a morph’s support level. Scores are calculated each round based on a morph’s percentage of total support. The developer also clarified that multiple screenshots or fanart submissions from the same person do not stack additional points. Special morphs, which do not have a Starbloom Festival race, will have their support results weighted accordingly.

Event schedule

  • Round One – Castle Gate: March 9-16. The top 16 morphs with the most time equipped in-game qualify for round two.
  • Round Two – Castle Courtyard: March 16-23. Qualifiers face elimination; Starbloom race results, social polls, and community shares begin to influence outcomes.
  • Final Round – The Throne Room: March 23-30. The final four compete for the throne; the winner and selected community highlights will be announced on March 31.

Each bracket matchup will include four morphs and span a total of three rounds. The developer emphasized that the best route to score points is to equip morphs or complete festival races in-game, while out-of-game polls and shares will begin to affect results starting in round two.
