Epic Games may have been trying to hide a lot of fans. However, the data miners have pinched many of the changes coming even if greatly ahead of release. As such, there has been appointed a new weekend event. It will be considered as a Tournament, and it will hold a prize pool of $100,000. Not any developers offer the this sort of tournaments for the community.
Thanks to Lucas7Yoshi, it has been discovered that Epic Games will hold a brand new event in Fortnite with $100,000 in prizes. The concept will be the same as in the gauntlet event, in which after the qualifier there will be a Final event. That final event will be a determinant to who goes the money.
The event is registered as CUP and its title is Scallywag. It will be held in Duos only. The top 1500 teams in each region during the semi-finals will advance to the finals. The Prize Pool distribution will be published on fortnite.com/esports.
