The MongolZ clinched ESL Pro League playoff spot with 2-1 win over 3DMAX

The MongolZ won Dust2 13-10, dropped Ancient 4-13, then took Inferno 13-10 to advance after 3DMAX squandered key rounds on low buys.

The MongolZ secured a place in the ESL Pro League playoffs after a 2-1 series victory over 3DMAX, winning Dust2 13-10, losing Ancient 4-13, and closing out the decider on Inferno 13-10. Dust2 opened as a physical, aggressive affair. Both sides played forward, but The MongolZ edged it by consistently finding opening kills, then converting those moments into rounds on their T side to take the map.

3DMAX responded on Ancient, where Lucas “Lucky” Chastang led a dominant CT half and Pierre “Ex3rcice” Bulinge finished the job on offense to level the series with a convincing 13-4 win. The Inferno decider swung back to The MongolZ thanks to impactful Deagle work in several low-buy rounds and a costly late-game mistake from 3DMAX: a 2v2 against armorless USPs that the French side failed to close. That sequence helped The MongolZ seal the series and the playoff berth.

Which moment felt decisive to you, the Deagle rounds or the 2v2 USP fumble? Share your take in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram.
