The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has continued to dominate the UK physical software sales charts, retaining its top spot despite a 20% drop in weekly sales. This information comes from the latest data supplied by the Gfk, as reported by GamesIndustry.
Since its launch a few months ago, the Nintendo Switch exclusive title has remained mainly at the top of the weekly charts. It successfully reclaimed its position last week from Final Fantasy 16, which had briefly occupied the top spot. However, Final Fantasy 16 has now fallen two places, sliding to number four in the weekly sales chart.
On the other hand, FIFA 23 experienced a surge in sales, moving up from the sixth position to take second place. This rise in sales marks a significant 30% increase from the previous week, mainly due to retail promotions.
This week’s chart also saw impressive gains for other titles outside of the top 10, with Metroid Prime Remastered and WWE 2K23 seeing massive boosts in sales by 222% and 183%, respectively. Retail promotions are again credited for this sudden increase in popularity.
This week saw no new entries making it into the top 10, with the only new release, The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie, debuting at number 22. The top 10, however, still includes fan-favorite titles such as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Hogwarts Legacy, God of War Ragnarok, and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
