The new trailer for The Last of Us season 2 just is packed with enough action to keep you on the edge of your seat. Warner Bros. Discovery has given us a sneak peek into the chaos awaiting Joel and Ellie as they navigate their post-apocalyptic world.
Things are looking pretty grim, and those fungal zombies? Yeah, they haven’t gotten any friendlier. The trailer starts with a chilling view of a snowy human settlement, not a cozy little village. Imagine this: a horde of zombies crashes the party, and we’re treated to explosive chaos! There’s even a monstrous zombie getting blasted by a flamethrower. When you think it can’t get more intense, we see frantic scenes of characters escaping through the woods, with an eerie close-up of a sickle that hints at some seriously dark moments.
We also get some flashbacks featuring our duo, Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey). Something is gripping about watching Ellie sprint and fire her handgun or leap over debris inside an underground train. As the trailer wraps up, Ellie confronts Joel with that haunting line: “You swore.”
This season promises to be packed with drama and tension, bringing in new faces like Jeffrey Wright as Isaac Dixon, Isabela Merced as Dina, and Kaitlyn Dever as Abby. And guess what? We won’t have to wait long because The Last of Us season two debuts on April 13th on Max!
