The Last of Us 2 Remastered is gearing up to arrive on PC next month, specifically on April 3. A free No Return content update will simultaneously be available for PS5 users to celebrate this launch.
This new No Return content includes interesting additions, including four new maps, two fresh characters, new trophies to earn, and various bug fixes. Players can expect all these features to roll out with the free downloadable patch 2.0.0 on April 3.
What’s Coming in TLOU 2 No Return
The first map introduced in this update is called Overlook, allowing players to gaze upon the cityscape of Seattle. Following that is School, a familiar setting where players face off against W.L.F. alongside Ellie and Dina. The third map is titled Streets and takes place in Hillcrest’s overgrown neighborhood. Finally, there’s Nest—a building rife with infected people that Abby fought through in The Last of Us Part 2.
The update also introduces Bill and Marlene as playable characters for the No Return mode on PS5. Bill has a ‘Smuggler’ playstyle featuring access to a custom pump shotgun; he gains double rewards from drops and possesses self-defense capabilities against melee attacks but cannot dodge effectively. Marlene operates under the ‘Risk Taker’ playstyle—equipped with a Custom Assault Rifle—allowing her to reroute her No Return Path once per run while employing ‘All or Nothing Gambits’.
The Heretic Prophet Jacket
Naughty Dog has more than just gameplay enhancements; they also offer some cosmetic items alongside the No Return content. A new skin for Ellie will feature Jordan A. Mun’s jacket from their upcoming game, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. Players can unlock this skin using in-game bonus points.
