The Game Awards 2025 took place on December 11, 2025, and handed out trophies across roughly 30 categories to games, developers, and creators from around the industry.
The ceremony’s biggest winner was Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which walked away with nine awards including Game of the Year, Best Game Direction, Best Narrative, Best Roleplaying Game, Best Art Direction, Best Independent Game, Best Debut Indie Game, Best Score & Music, and Best Performance. Clair Obscur led the season earlier in nominations as well. Aside from Expedition 33’s haul, every other honored title received a single award. Winners were determined by a split vote between the public and a jury of international press and content creators.
