The First Descendant logged another weekly crackdown on abusive users, and the latest results covered April 3 through April 9 PDT. Nexon said it was acting on reports and monitoring to keep the game fair for Descendants who want a normal match instead of a circus.
The enforcement breakdown was heavy on penalties tied to unusual gameplay activity. A total of 584 users received a 3-day separate matchmaking penalty, while 2 users were hit with permanent game bans for creating, distributing, or using unauthorized programs.
The developer also issued 13 permanent game bans for exploitation tied to all processes related to the Open Store. Nexon said those actions were taken because of unfair gains through abuse of the store payment process.
As part of the notice, the studio reminded players to use the in-game report feature if they spot abnormal or abusive behavior. It also said that anyone who wants to dispute a claim involving Open Store payment-process exploitation can go through official website support, while chargeback-related disputes should be taken to the platform store where the payment was made.
For players, the message is pretty simple. Nexon is watching reports, it is watching gameplay data, and it is still handing out bans and matchmaking restrictions when people push things too far.
