The First Descendant players will see some schedule changes as the Season 3 update has been postponed to August 7. This delay means that several in-game events and content resets originally planned for the season change will now last longer.
Here’s what’s affected:
Battle Pass
- The Season 2 Episode 2 – “Beyond the Void” Battle Pass will now be available until Thursday, August 7.
- The Bonus Shop and daily challenges will remain active up to that date, but no new weekly challenges will be added after Week 14.
Inversion Reinforcement
- The reset schedule for Inversion Reinforcement missions has been extended to August 7 as well.
- Collect Ironheart Particles missions in each region will also stay accessible until the Season 3 update.
Leaderboard
- The Void Erosion Purge: Challenge leaderboard reward distribution will align with the new season timing, moving to August 7.
- However, the leaderboard will reset earlier, on June 19, as part of a bug fix addressing ranking issues.
- After this reset, rankings will reflect new records made post-fix.
Void Erosion Purge: Challenge
- The reset for corruption purge stages and their clear rewards is pushed to August 7.
It’s a bit of a juggling act for the developers, and they apologize for any inconvenience these timing adjustments might cause. To make up for it, they’re handing out some in-game rewards as a thank-you for your patience.
Compensation Details
Players can claim the following items in their in-game mailbox between June 18 and August 6, 2025. Make sure to grab them before they expire on September 6, 2025, at 23:59 PDT:
- Crystallization Catalyst ×1
- Real Matte Black ×1
- Enamel Deep Black ×1
- Bright Matte Gold ×1
- Matte Deep White ×1
- Shiny Light Blue ×1
