The First Descendant Bans 71 Users for Cheating and Exploitation in Latest Crackdown

The game’s developers permanently banned 26 users for cheating and exploitation, plus penalties for hundreds more.

Hello, Descendants. The team behind The First Descendant recently completed a week-long crackdown on abusive players from June 20 to June 26, 2025. This effort aims to maintain a fair and enjoyable game environment for all by addressing issues of cheating and exploitation.

During this period, the developers took action against users involved in unauthorized programs and those exploiting the Open Store payment process. It’s always a bit surprising how some players try to bend the rules, but it’s good to see the team responding firmly.

Permanent Bans for Unauthorized Programs and Exploitation

Eleven users received permanent bans for creating, distributing, or using unauthorized programs. These activities undermine fair play, so the decision to ban them permanently is understandable.

Meanwhile, fifteen users were permanently banned for exploiting the Open Store payment process to gain unfair advantages. This kind of behavior affects both the game’s economy and the player community’s trust, so it’s taken seriously.

Other Penalties for Abusive Behavior

The crackdown also detected unusual gameplay activity, which led to different types of penalties:

  • Five users were restricted from accessing the game for 30 days.
  • Six hundred and forty-five users received a 3-day separate matchmaking penalty, which likely means they were temporarily prevented from matching with regular players.

These measures show the developers’ ongoing commitment to maintaining a pleasant experience for all players. It’s kinda reassuring. Knowing that there’s a system watching over the fairness of the game.

Reporting and Support

If you spot any unusual or abusive behavior while playing, the team encourages you to report it through the in-game report feature. They also mention that if any player believes they were wrongly accused regarding the Open Store payment process, they should contact official customer service or the platform store where the payment was made.
