The Evil Within is a third-person survival horror video game developed by Tango Gameworks, whose publishing rights are held by Bethesda. Apparently, Bethesda is thinking about its renewal now that it’s under the wing of Microsoft. Recently, the company has re-registered its trademark for The Evil Within franchise.

This trademark filing is for CONTINUED USE. Does that mean a sequel and Xbox exclusive is coming out soon? The last piece of the downloadable content that arrived at the game has been The Last Chance Pack, which was acquirable with a pre-order of The Evil Within 2.

Since The Evil Within 2, which was released back in 2017, we haven’t seen any original expansion in the franchise, aside from DLCs that have been not as exciting as the original expansion. According to the official Trademark Information, ZeniMax Media remains the owner of The Evil Within IP.

This is a brand page for the THE EVIL WITHIN trademark by ZeniMax Media Inc. in Rockville, MD, 20850.

Or, contact the owner ZeniMax Media Inc. of the THE EVIL WITHIN trademark by filing a request to communicate with the Legal Correspondent for licensing, use, and/or questions related to the THE EVIL WITHIN trademark.

On Thursday, April 18, 2013, a U.S. federal trademark registration was filed for THE EVIL WITHIN. The USPTO has given the THE EVIL WITHIN trademark serial number of 85908812. The current federal status of this trademark filing is CONTINUED USE AND INCONTESTIBILITY ACCEPTED. The correspondent listed for THE EVIL WITHIN is ANN K. FORD of DLA PIPER LLP (US), 500 8TH ST NW, WASHINGTON DC 20004-2131 . The THE EVIL WITHIN trademark is filed in the category of Computer & Software Products & Electrical & Scientific Products , Education and Entertainment Services . The description provided to the USPTO for THE EVIL WITHIN is Computer game software for use with computers and video game consoles; downloadable computer game software offered via the internet and wireless devices.
