Agents waking up on Tuesday, October 28 found The Division 2 unreachable, Ubisoft has taken the game offline for extended maintenance, and the downtime will last longer than usual. Expect the servers to go down at 9:30 am CET / 4:30 am ET / 1:30 am PT / 4:30 pm HKT and remain offline for five hours, returning around 2:30 pm CET / 9:30 am ET / 6:30 am PT / 9:30 pm HKT. That’s a longer window than the usual three-hour maintenance slot.

The maintenance follows an awkward blunder in the anti-cheat sweep. The developers posted a statement on X acknowledging that a technical issue in their sanction process led to some legitimate accounts being banned. The post says the team is actively restoring affected accounts and that restorations will continue over the coming hours.

Massive Entertainment asked players for patience while it reviews how to apply sanctions without hitting innocent players. That means if you were locked out this morning, don’t smash the keyboard just yet; restorations are in motion. We covered last week’s Halloween event and the recent patch that accompanied it, and this maintenance comes shortly after those changes. Read our summary of the Halloween update for context on recent tweaks and seasonal content here. For comparison on previous extended outages, see our look at the August 26 downtime here.
Keep an eye on the developer’s X account for live updates, and check your email or account page if you suspect you were wrongly sanctioned. The team says it will follow up as restorations are completed.
