Darkness falls over D.C. again. Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 will run its Halloween Event from October 21 – November 11 on PC, PlayStation and Xbox, bringing Mini Warhounds to the open world, Houndsman Bounties that drop outfit pieces in week one, a Project Chain that starts on October 28, and the Named M1911 “Quickstep” as a reward.
The Houndsman hunt
Mini Warhounds will roam the D.C. open world. These scaled-down robotic hounds are not armed, but they use evasive moves and defensive tricks to make a fight messy. Some briefly turn invisible, others move fast, resist damage, or leave trails of purple flame. They do not appear inside missions, so hunting them means staying out in the open world.
Takedowns grant a Houndsman Bounty. Completing a bounty sends players after a tougher encounter and awards special caches. Bounties can stack, so multiple bounties may be earned before tackling them.
Week 1 – October 21 – October 27: Houndsman Caches will guarantee an outfit piece with each opening, awarded in order: Mask, Gloves, Backpack, then Uniform and the Backpack Trophy. After October 28, most outfit pieces move to the in-game store, but the Mask will remain in Houndsman caches.
The Houndsman bounty rewards
- Week 1 (Oct 21 – Oct 27): 1x Houndsman Cache + 1x Event Cache
- Week 2 – 3 (Oct 28 – Nov 11): 1x Halloween 25 Cache + 1x Event Cache
Caches can be held and opened at any time, and their contents will not change after the event ends. Rewards are based on when the bounty is completed, not when it was accepted. Each bounty automatically scales to the current global difficulty, with rewards unchanged across settings.

The Project Chain
Starting October 28, a Project Chain runs for the final two weeks of the event. Projects are separate from the Houndsman activity and consist of a series of seven tasks released daily across the first week. Each project unlocks the next one, so projects must be completed in order to progress.
