If you’re unfamiliar with Demon Slayer, it’s a popular shounen anime that got released back in 2019, with many fans regarding it as the best anime of that year. Demon Slayer also got its own movie titled Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, which was released in 2020 in Japan only, with the Western edition set to arrive this year. The movie has broken many headlines and records, even overtaking the beloved Spirited Away as Japan’s most successful box office title.
Because of the series’ success, CyberConnect2 was revealed as the developer for the upcoming Demon Slayer game Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hinokami Keppu Tan. The game will be an action arena brawler between the anime’s characters, including Tanjirou, Inosuke, and all the others. Today, a region-locked trailer for Japan was released, showcasing one of the show’s most beloved characters, Tomioka Giyuu.
Along with the trailer, a bunch of cool screenshots were also released.
The game is scheduled to be released in Japan in 2021 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC, with no glimpse nor speculation of a western release date.
