A few days ago, it was confirmed that Minecraft’s Steve and Alex would be Super Smash Bros Ultimate’s newest upcoming challengers. However, on the 3rd of November, during a live stream held on Twitch by Nintendo, we got more in-depth details on their play style, abilities, and special moves. Steve and Alex will have the same moves, and they’ll be unique characters we’ve seen so far. They’ll be able to dig, mine, and make tools to defeat their foes. Some stages will be rich with different materials like wood, while some will have more iron. It looks like Nintendo has nailed on this DLC, but let’s not overhype it yet.
Their final smash is called House of Boom in which Steve and Alex take a piston, push the enemy off the stage into a house filled with creepers, zombies, and TNT, where they’ll have to face the inevitable.
Along with this, a new Minecraft themed stage with six different areas has been added. There’ll be a single crafting table in the battleground which Steve and Alex will use to get new weapons and items.
