Update: It seems that the in-game coordinators are slowly coming back to life, so everything’s good and Steam is coming back to life.
Steam, the digital reseller, is facing some issues and has gone down. Usually, their maintenance is Tuesday through Wednesday, but it seems like something is going on this time around.
Players currently in a game: At the moment, Steam’s library is not accessible, which means no one can make a purchase or connect to their online multiplayer games. Either way, offline mode is available, so you might hop in your favorite game while the issues resolve.
I was in a Dota 2 when the coordinator went down. While I was truly expecting some sort of Dota 2 update (the one that everyone’s expecting), the issue turned out to be much bigger.
Steamstat.us didn’t provide a precise explanation of the issue, but it said that there has been an increase in visitors, which could indicate a Steam issue.
Just stay tight, as these issues are resolved relatively fast.
