Sony Interactive Entertainment has officially opened pre-orders for its highly anticipated Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 special edition PlayStation 5 console bundle, covers, and the uniquely designed DualSense controller. Pre-orders started on July 28, 10 am local time, through PlayStation Direct and select retailers in countries where Sony’s online store operates.

In addition to PlayStation Direct, Sony has mentioned that these products may be available at other selected retailers in these regions. For international fans, a limited quantity of these products will be available in many countries across the globe.

Fans eager to get their hands on these exclusive items will appreciate the intricate design details of the bundle. The Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition Bundle includes a PlayStation 5 with a custom console cover design featuring iconic Spider-Man aesthetics, a matching DualSense wireless controller, and a voucher for a digital copy of the standard edition of Spider-Man 2.

The products are set to be released on September 1, providing fans ample time to gear up for the game’s official release on October 20, 2023.

Insomniac Games, the developer behind Spider-Man 2, confirmed the news via their Twitter account about the pre-orders going live in the US:

“Pre-orders are LIVE NOW on PlayStation Direct for US residents. This is your chance to secure the #SpiderMan2PS5 Limited Edition Console Bundle.”

However, these announcements’ excitement has led to a massive queue on the official pre-order link.

In terms of specifications and pricing, the PlayStation 5 Console – Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition Bundle will offer 825 GB of storage, the same as the standard PS5 console, priced at $599.99. This symbiote takeover design is expected to be a hit amongst franchise fans.

  • Due to high demand, there is a limit of 1 console bundle per household.
  • Although you will receive PlayStation®5 Console – Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition Bundle from 09/01/23, the digital game voucher can only be redeemed from 10/20/23.
  • Game requires download before it can be played. Voucher code supplied within box, redeemable on PlayStation™Store.
  • Only 1 DualSense included.
  • 1 Player.
  • PS5 bundles will ship separately when additional items are in the order.
  • A signature will be required upon delivery for this product.

While the pre-order rush might seem daunting, this announcement gives Spider-Man fans plenty of time to secure the limited edition console bundle and accessories before the game’s official release.
