Sony Interactive Entertainment has just revealed a new surprise. As part of its Season of Play campaign, a unique free online multiplayer weekend for PlayStation Plus will be available to PS4 and PS5 owners. This limited-time offer runs from December 9 to December 10, allowing gamers to enjoy online multiplayer modes across various titles without needing a PlayStation Plus subscription.
This event begins at 12.01 am on December 9 and concludes at 11.59 pm on December 10, local time. To join in on the fun, players need a PlayStation Network account. This initiative is part of Sony’s broader Season of Play promotion, which includes an array of exciting offerings.
Alongside the multiplayer weekend, the Season of Play brings new avatars, PlayStation Stars campaigns, eSports tournaments, and enticing product discounts. Notably, December’s PlayStation Plus Essential games, such as Lego 2K Drive, Powerwash Simulator, and Sable for PS5 and PS4, will be accessible from December 5 until January 1, 2024.
The Season of Play doesn’t just cater to PlayStation Plus members. All PlayStation users can access new PS5 and PS4 avatars from December 5 to January 5, 2024, celebrating popular titles like Ghost of Tsushima and Final Fantasy VII Remake. Additionally, a 15% discount on official PlayStation Gear is available during the same period.
Moreover, PlayStation Tournaments will be held from December 12 to December 17, featuring popular titles and offering participants a chance to win a PlayStation Plus Premium/Deluxe membership. Involvement in these tournaments also enters players into a draw for a PlayStation 5 Digital Edition console.
PlayStation Plus members can earn bonus points in the PlayStation Stars Campaign by playing the December PlayStation Plus Monthly Games. Additionally, Sony Pictures Core benefits for PlayStation Plus members include access to various movies, with special discounts and curated content added from Crunchyroll, starting December 5th in select regions.
