The latest Weekly Grind post for skate. puts a bow on the 7-Ply Maple Harvest event this week and rolls into a Season 2 reveal timed with a new build labeled Update 0.29.1 that the developer plans to ship on December 2. The post reminds players that event Tasks run for the full event window, giving busy skaters until next Tuesday to finish what they started, and flags a handful of known problems the team is aiming to address in 0.29.1. The Weekly Grind also points players to the official skate_status account on X for live updates about fixes and outages.

Season 2 and Update 0.29.1

The developer calls the Season 2 reveal a big update and says it arrives alongside the 0.29.1 patch on December 2. For more on what Season 2 will include, readers can see our coverage of the reveal in skate. Season 2 starts December 2 – Own the Lot, Party Voice Chat, and replay editor upgrades, which walks through the major gameplay and social additions coming with the season.

The Weekly Grind lists a mix of recent fixes and issues still under investigation. Developers pushed back-end work to cut down on softlocks and say they are still working to recover players currently affected. The post also calls out a collection of items slated for 0.29.1, including infinite loading problems, co-op challenges that fail to start for some party members, invisible party members when joining friends on another server, replay export stuttering on consoles, and an issue where users can lose SVB while redeeming Skate Pass content.

The update also repeats a previously addressed problem where Daily and Weekly Tasks would not count after reset and notes the fix was implemented on November 14; players who still see task issues are advised to restart the game or wait 15 minutes. The Weekly Grind highlights community-made shots and builds from in-game creators and links players to the skate. Reel for submissions. The post included two trailers and a sneak peek; the Skate team posted the trailer for the Impossibles reveal and the Season 2 trailer.

  • The Weekly Grind post and Season 2 reveal happened this week.
  • 7-Ply Maple Harvest sweeps continue during the event and EA notes several IRL Year 5 decks are being given away during the window.
  • A sneak peek of a new skateable area called Eelside Tunnels was mentioned as coming in Season 2.

Players should watch for the official 0.29.1 Patch Notes and a Known Issues list that the team says it will publish alongside the December 2 update.
