Silica is a Blend of FPS and RTS, Now Available in Early Access

Bohemia Interactive‘s latest game, Silica, has just entered Early Access. Merging the fast-paced, adrenaline-fueled gameplay of a first-person shooter with the tactical thinking and resource management of a real-time strategy game, Silica offers a unique gaming experience set on the scorching deserts of Baltarus.

The developers have opted for an Early Access approach to gather vital feedback from players and refine the game. With a targeted duration of approximately one year, Silica’s Early Access will allow the developers to polish the current game modes and add more content, such as additional combat units. The Early Access version of the game is priced at $19.99, with a slight increase planned once it’s fully released.

Silica allows players to choose how they want to play without forcing them into a specific role. For fans of intense first-person shooter action, the infantry role will enable players to engage in thrilling ground combat, utilizing various vehicles and weaponry to eliminate enemy forces. Alternatively, players can assume the part of the insect-like aliens, shifting consciousness between different creatures to hunt down their human adversaries.
