Seagate’s 1TB Game Drive for Xbox Series X is quite expensive, available to order now

Microsoft’s Xbox Series X is driving into this era quite strongly. After the pre-orders kicked off, new accessories were also expected to arrive in the stores to allow further owner customization. Today, Best Buy has discovered an officially licensed Storage Expansion Card for Microsoft’s next-gen console. According to its listing, the Storage Expansion Card is quite expensive and available for $219,99 and quite the salty acquisition for those with shallow pockets.

It’s a 1TB Game Drive created by Seagate, just as Microsoft announced before the listing arrived. As Microsoft stated, the new solid-state drive will be made by Seagate with a pitch that it’s the only available expansion card that replicates the Xbox Velocity Architecture and contributes to faster load times, richer environments and other performance-wise benefits.

According to the listing description:

Instantly expand the peak speed capacity of the most-powerful gaming experience Xbox has ever created with the Seagate Storage Expansion Card for Xbox Series X|S. Effortlessly compatible with the Xbox Velocity Architecture, experience the fastest load times and most dynamic worlds – even improving the overall performance of thousands of Original Xbox, Xbox 360, and Xbox One games. The ultimate power, speed, and compatibility is now at your fingertips.

To settle things down without causing an even more massive frustration, we can remind you that Microsoft noted that all Xbox One accessories would be entirely usable on the new Xbox Series X console. That includes the external hard drives, too, if it meets the connectivity requirements of USB 3.1 or 3.2.
