The solo sim Schedule 1 from developer TVGS has a new update, adding a rival cartel, a pump shotgun, new vehicles, items, and hairstyles. It follows a player vote and alters how you manage your drug business around Hyland Point, including fresh interactions and a storyline-linked manor purchase.
Earlier this year TVGS put a voting feature in the game that let players pick between a Police Expansion, a Rival Cartel, or a “Shrooms” update. Players have chosen the cartel option, and this choice is now live in update 0.4.0. Why would anyone vote for more police? Well, they didn’t this time.
The update introduces the Benzies family – described by the developer as “a powerful rival cartel in Hyland Point” – and new interactions with them. You can strike deals, be ambushed, have dealers robbed, or see drops stolen. The patch suggests you can either ally with the cartel or make an enemy of them while you expand your operations.
The patch also adds new vehicles, items, a few hairstyles, and a pump shotgun that will likely affect those cartel encounters. After completing the Benzies family’s storyline you can buy a manor in the Hyland area, which gives a tangible reward for working through that plot thread.

TVGS again apologised for the update delay, noting the work has been done solo amid moving house and exams, so the pace has been uneven. The developer’s transparency about timing is welcome, and the player vote mechanic is an interesting way to steer future content.
