The Saints Row reboot by Volition may not have met the expectations of The Embracer Group, but it is set to receive substantial content updates in 2023. An updated roadmap released by the developer reveals that Expansion Pass owners will receive three new expansions, July, and August. Additionally, new districts will be made available to all players for free.
The first expansion, “The Heist and The Hazardous,” is scheduled for release in May. It will introduce new campaign missions, weapons, vehicles, and cosmetics to the game. The other two expansions are set to continue the story of the Saints, with one coming in July, introducing a new solo game mode, and the last one in August.
Besides the expansions, Volition is also working on adding new city districts to the game for free, making them accessible to all players. The first of these districts, Sunshine Springs, will be released alongside the May expansion. More districts will be unveiled later, with one coming in August.
In addition to new content, the developer will implement quality-of-life updates for the game. These updates include Selfie Mode, combat improvements, a new emotes system, and more. The first of these updates will arrive in May, with others to follow in July and August.
Saints Row is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC.
