According to rumors and leaks, AC RED is said to feature two playable characters and is targeting a 2024 release. But since we’re missing concrete info from Ubisoft, any details or information about it should be taken with a grain of salt until there is an official announcement.

Ubisoft officially announced Assassin’s Creed Codename RED in 2022, confirming that the popular series will finally take players to Japan – setting fans have sought for years. However, details on the game have been scarce since the announcement. A recent report suggests that the game will feature two playable protagonists. However, whether this will be executed similarly to previous titles in the series, such as Assassin’s Creed Odyssey or Valhalla. Additionally, the report suggests that Codename RED will primarily focus on stealth gameplay. Fans of the series will undoubtedly be eagerly awaiting further news and details on this highly anticipated installment.

Recent sources (via Insider-Gaming)suggest that the Assassin’s Creed series will be returning to its annual release cycle, with major entries in the series being notably different from the last. The first of these upcoming titles, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, is reportedly scheduled for release around August of this year, followed by Assassin’s Creed Nexus in 2023. Though these release dates are tentative, sources have revealed that Codename Red is planned for 2024, with Assassin’s Creed Invictus and Assassin’s Creed Hexe following in 2025 and 2026, respectively.

It’s important to note that these dates are subject to change, especially given Ubisoft’s history of delaying game releases. Nonetheless, this information gives fans a rough idea of Ubisoft’s release schedule for the franchise’s future. Fans will likely be eager to see how the upcoming titles differ from one another and what new features and innovations they will bring to the Assassin’s Creed series.
