A massive petition demanding Roblox CEO David Baszucki’s resignation has gathered more than 110,000 signatures in just ten days. Gamers worldwide are expressing severe frustration over how Roblox handles child safety and predator control on its platform.
Roblox is one of the biggest games globally, known for its creative space aimed at children. But the petition argues that safety has been compromised repeatedly, accusing leadership of ignoring harmful and exploitative behavior. The message is clear: if nothing changes, more kids will be at risk.
Here’s a quote from the petition itself:
“Roblox is supposed to be a safe and creative space for children. But under the leadership of CEO David Baszucki, that safety has been repeatedly compromised. Instead of prioritizing the protection of young users, Roblox Corporation continues to allow harmful and exploitative behavior to thrive on its platform — with little accountability or transparency.
Children are being exploited and exposed to dangerous content, all while Roblox’s executive leadership turns a blind eye. If nothing changes, this pattern of negligence will continue — and more children will be hurt. This is not just about poor leadership. This is about child safety.”
So, is Baszucki stepping down? No one knows yet. But 110,000 signatures in under two weeks is a loud message Roblox’s team can’t just ignore.
Adding fuel to the fire, Louisiana’s attorney general recently filed a lawsuit against Roblox demanding better child protection. Plus, Chris Hansen from “To Catch a Predator” is working on a documentary about Roblox’s safety issues, teaming up with others like Schlep.
