Riot Games to Extend Twitch Subscription Perks for League of Legends Split 3

LoL Esports Twitch subscriptions will continue in Split 3, offering perks and supporting teams financially.

Riot Games is going to keep its Twitch subscription program running for the third split of the 2025 League of Legends esports season. This means fans will still get perks while also helping support the competitive scene financially, which is pretty cool, right?

Starting from the LCS playoffs last August, Twitch subscriptions have been part of all major LoL Esports regions, including EMEA, the Americas, China, and Korea. Now, for Split 3, the subscriptions will also be available on the official LCP Twitch channel. So if you’re a fan who likes to watch matches without ads and chat with other subscribers, you’re in luck!

Subscribers will enjoy several benefits, including ad-free viewing and access to a subscriber-only chat for exclusive discussions during matches. Plus, from July 21st, paid and gifted subscribers will unlock the new Pengu Garen ‘Bring it On’ emote. Just a heads-up, though, Prime subs won’t get these rewards.

Here’s the part I find interesting: a share of the subscription money is allocated to the Global Revenue Pool (GRP). This fund helps teams by increasing their earnings from digital LoL Esports content, thereby providing them with more financial stability over time. The LCK and LPL regions are doing the best, so they’ll each get an extra seed. But the two fourth seeds will have to battle it out in a best-of-five series to claim the last spot in the top 16 and move on to the Swiss stage.

So, are you planning to subscribe to this split? It’s a nice way to support your favorite teams and get some cool perks while watching. I’ll probably grab that Pengu Garen emote myself. What about you? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
